New Tools for Colorado Potato Beetle Management
Colorado potato beetle remains one of the most difficult insect pests for potato growers to manage. We are testing alternatives to at-plant neonicotinoids and looking for practical ways to improve beetle management. This presentation will share results from field trials and discuss our new research using drones to locate beetles and feeding damage and to improve insecticide applications. The goal is to help growers decide when and where treatment is needed and apply insecticides more effectively while slowing resistance.
