Dr. Marisol Quintanilla - Nematode Management In Potatoes

This talk will include results from the MSU field trials conducted in 2020 and in 2021. The overreaching goal is to determine the effectiveness of management alternatives to control Potato Early Die (PED). In 2020 researchers evaluated the effect of combining organic soil amendments with biological control agents and in 2021 they evaluated the effect of compost amended with gypsum, composted poultry manure, Neem oil, fluazaindolizine and other chemical-based products on PED severity.

Marisol Quintanilla is a Nematologist at Michigan State University, she obtained her Ph.D. and M.S. from Michigan State University.  Her work focuses on finding solutions to nematode problems in diverse crops in Michigan and beyond.
