Todd Feenstra
Todd Feenstra is the owner of Tritium Inc., a hydrogeologic consulting firm, and the director of Midwest Water Stewards. He has 25 years of experience in developing, managing and protecting high‐capacity groundwater supplies in Michigan, Indiana and Ohio. His clients include municipalities, industries, developers and agriculture. He has been working with a nonprofit group of farmers in Southwest Michigan since 2009 to evaluate the Michigan Water Withdrawal Assessment Tool (MI‐WWAT) and model the groundwater resources of Southwest Michigan. He has testified in Indiana Senate and Michigan House hearings, to the Michigan Groundwater Advisory Council, and to the Southwest Michigan Groundwater Council regarding the Michigan Water Withdrawal Assessment Process and groundwater regulations. He serves on two U.S. Geologic Survey committees related to groundwater and surface water supplies. He is currently the lead consultant on a $1.4 million pilot project in Cass County, Michigan working with the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality, the Michigan Department of Natural Resources, the Michigan Geologic Survey, and the U.S. Geologic Survey to refine the Michigan Water Withdrawal Assessment Process and define the groundwater water resources in southwest Michigan. His firm is responsible for the management and analysis of a network of 12 stream gages and 150 groundwater monitoring wells in active wellfields spread across a dozen counties in two states.
