Jim Byrum - Riveron
Jim Byrum has made a career in agriculture from association management where he worked on major policy issues such as the Farm Bill to state legislation, he has also helped market U.S. grown commodities around the world.
His involvement in agriculture spans his entire lifetime and includes being raised on a diverse farm in central Michigan, attending Michigan State University, and working for Monsanto, before running the Michigan Bean Commission and serving as the Michigan State Executive Director of the USDA’s Farm Service Agency for four years, until joining the Michigan Agri-Business Association where he retired as President of the Association in 2020.
Byrum has served on the Board of Directors of the National Grain and Feed Association, The Fertilizer Institute, Agricultural Retailers of America, American Seed Trade Association, and many local and community organizations.
Along with his wife Dianne, Jim also owns seven retail hardware stores.
