  • 8:00-8:30am - Check-in
  • 8:45-9:00am - Introduction
  • 9:00-11:45am - Breakout Sessions: Attendees will break into three groups and spend approximately 45 minutes at each of the three sessions below: 
    • Water Stewardship & Irrigation Efficiencies featuring:
      • Well upgrade and maintenance demonstration & discussion
      • Todd Feenstra of Midwest Water Stewards discussing irrigation & stream gauge monitoring
      • Dr. Younsuk Dong (MSU Irrigation Specialist) discussing irrigation efficiencies and ways to improve irrigation systems
      • Lyndon Kelley discussing MiWWAT tool for individual farms
    • Compost trail demonstration: Discussion of composting in potato systems for improved disease control and yield; Early-die management and fumigation
    • Harvest and post-harvest handling of potatoes demonstration: Showcase proper handling techniques, equipment for proper storage, safe field handling techniques, commercial pathogen maintenance, season conditions and effect on plant physiology and more.
  • Noon - Lunch (provided)
  • 2:00pm - Research Committee Meeting, 3521 W McBride Road, Stanton MI 48888. Public is welcome.
